I created this app out of frustration with clunky, buggy family tree Mac apps. Why can't making a family tree be enjoyable?
I wanted to explore using contextual interfaces as well as the touch and hold gesture, both interactions are present in the sublime Listen app by MacPaw.
The idea was that once you had added yourself to your family tree, you would tap and hold on your avatar and the contextual menu of adding relatives would appear, all you would have to do is drag your face in a particular direction. Once your relative was added, by releasing your finger, the buttons would fade away, allowing you to appreciate the faces of your family without any distractions.
